Job Description

Board Certified ECC - Tailored Sign On Packages - Our Hospital in beautiful Redlands, CA, is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Criticality (DACVECC) to join our team. Offering a competitive starting salary range of $250k/yr to $300k/yr, this position is ideal for a skilled, compassionate, and confident Criticality who values building strong relationships with clients, patients, and referring veterinarians. The ideal candidate will also enjoy mentoring and teaching, Our Hospital partners with local veterinary students on external rotations.

Our Hospital operates 24/7 and is home to a talented team housed in a state-of-the-Our Organization practicing the highest quality medical care.

  • 2 surgical suites
  • Ultrasound
  • State of the art monitoring equipment
  • Cautery in all rooms
  • Large central ICU with oxygen cage
  • Pulmonetic ventilator
  • In-house lab
  • Advanced diagnostic tools: Spiral CT scanner, digital radiography
  • ICU/ER with specialized wards for small dogs, large dogs, and cats, ensuring quiet environments for feline patients
  • Fear Free Certified Cat Ward
  • ICU and Cat Ward have state of the art enclosures
  • 2 Separate isolation and step-down wards for critical care
  • Highly trained and licensed veterinary technicians and assistants supporting the emergency team

Requirements

Competencies:

  • Clinical Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals. Perform cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other necessary examinations. Diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to develop solutions to challenges relating to the management of a high-Our Hospital.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients. Our Hospital staff.
  • Professionalism: Work as part of a high-quality, professional veterinary team with the ability to provide and receive appropriate constructive criticism, suggestions, and feedback.
  • Ethics: Knowledge and understanding of ethical principles that guide decisions affecting patients.
  • Commitment to Continuing Education: Commitment to utilize available resources for continuing education and to facilitate learning of others.

Requirements

  • Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
  • Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Criticality (DACVECC)
  • Current State Veterinary License.
  • DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
  • Our Hospital or practice staff.
  • Must demonstrate a desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in leading staff training.
  • Position Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, Our Hospital staff.
  • Client communication skills, must be able to elicit information, establish rapport, offer explanations with pet owners.
  • Display confidence and reassurance when dealing with pets experiencing severe stress, illness, or pain.
  • May include some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.
  • Position does require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
